Chapter 12#
Jin Yan knew the terrain near Jiang Qin’s accounting firm like the back of his hand. He even knew which trees were planted on that road, let alone a mutton restaurant.
When Fang Yuan helped Jiang Qin out, they just reached the curb and were about to raise their hands to call a taxi when they saw a black Mercedes-Benz slowly stop in front of them. Jin Yan poked his head out of the car window and smiled: “Cousin went out drinking with Jiang Qin, why didn’t you call me?”
Fang Yuan also drank too much, otherwise he wouldn’t have shown an obvious stunned expression, then immediately said naturally: “I was just about to call you to pick him up. I’m really sorry, actually we didn’t drink much…”
Jiang Qin had completely lost consciousness. He probably vomited twice in the restaurant, and now he was motionless in Fang Yuan’s arms.
Jin Yan got out of the car personally and took him over with a smile, then asked: “Cousin, the smell of alcohol on you is also strong enough. How about I send you back? There are many cars and few traffic police at this time. It’s no joke if you scratch something while driving.” Without waiting for Fang Yuan’s answer, he turned around and carried Jiang Qin horizontally to the back seat of the car, instructing Li Meng: “Use the cold towel in that ice bucket to wipe his forehead, otherwise he will have a headache when the car starts later.”
Li Meng responded crisply and said: “Dad, I’m so hungry! Can you go buy a hamburger first? I want a double beef patty!”
“Okay, okay,” Jin Yan said casually, “Throw away the wrapper on the way, don’t let Jiang Qin find out you ate junk food again.”
This family was a unit of its own. Fang Yuan wasn’t a fool either, so he said tactfully: “You guys go home first. Jiang Qin probably drank too much and needs to rest early. I’ll just hail a taxi.”
Jin Yan enthusiastically tried to keep him, but Fang Yuan was too polite. After five minutes of pulling and pushing, he finally raised his hand to admit defeat, regrettably smiled and said goodbye to each other.
Until he got into the car, the smile on his face had not completely dissipated, but his eyes revealed an unmistakable ruthlessness.
Li Meng kept looking back at Fang Yuan’s departing figure, and after a long while said: “Why do I feel this cousin-uncle is a bit strange.”
“Who knows,” Jin Yan paused for a few seconds, then said coldly: “None of the Jiang family are good things.”
After speaking, he looked back at Jiang Qin. When he was asleep, his brows were slightly furrowed, as if he was in a little pain or feeling uneasy about something. Jin Yan reached out and gently smoothed Jiang Qin’s brows, clicking his tongue with a smile.
On the way home, he indeed bought a hamburger for Li Meng. The little crown prince ate happily with a mouthful of beef and a mouthful of cola. When he got home, he threw away the packaging bag, consciously ran to take a shower and go to bed, and thoughtfully closed the bedroom door.
Jin Yan praised him greatly for this and promised double pocket money for this month.
Jiang Qin was carried out of the car in a daze, stripped of his clothes, and carried to take a shower. Jin Yan wasn’t very good at serving people. When he used the shower head to rinse his hair, he splashed water all over himself, so he simply took off his own clothes and washed together.
Jiang Qin was tossed and turned, and became a little sober. He stared blankly at Jin Yan’s naked upper body for a long time before asking讷讷: “…Who are you?”
Jin Yan said fiercely: “Your man!”
Jiang Qin looked at him suspiciously for a long time, his vision finally slowly focused: “…Oh, okay.”
Although he had resisted Jin Yan for so long, the blind trust and obedience in his bones had not changed. Once drunk, his nature was exposed, and soon he closed his eyes obediently and began to doze off.
The bathroom was very spacious, and it wasn’t crowded for two people to sit facing each other. Jin Yan held him like this, rinsing his hair clean bit by bit, kissing him all the way down along his eyelashes and nose wings, wrapping him in a large towel, while kissing his neck which was exceptionally moist from the steam.
Jiang Qin probably felt ticklish and twisted vaguely: “…Jin Yan?”
“Hmm?”
“So ticklish… don’t move…”
“Mmhmm, won’t move, won’t move.”
Jin Yan grabbed a bathrobe and wrapped Jiang Qin up completely, carried him horizontally into the bedroom, and placed him gently on the big bed. The whole process was very gentle from beginning to end. Jiang Qin stared at him blankly, looking extremely innocent.
Jin Yan took a deep breath, feeling the hot breath in his nasal cavity, burning his voice a little hoarse: “Want some water?”
“…Mmhmm.”
Jin Yan poured a cup of cold tea and drank it all in one gulp, then lowered his head to feed him. Jiang Qin was really thirsty, struggling to drink half and spilling half. Before he could protest, he was pressed into the pillow by Jin Yan and kissed fiercely.

That night they did it once in the bathroom. Jin Yan had discovered long ago that Jiang Qin felt more in the bathroom, as if the steam all over the sky made him let go more and respond more enthusiastically. After returning to bed, he massaged Jiang Qin for a while, and soon they were entangled again. The last release was long and suffocating.
He couldn’t remember the details later. Sleep came so quickly and sweetly. The long-lost satisfaction made him feel peaceful in his dreams. When he woke up, he even found himself in a very good mood.
Jiang Qin was sleeping soundly. Jin Yan happily gave him a good morning kiss, got up, dressed, and went to wash up.
Little student Li Xiaomeng sat at the dining table full of resentment, looking at the empty plate and said: “Good morning, Dad, breakfast is really rich.”
“Compared to hundreds of millions of hungry children in Asia, Africa and Latin America, it’s good enough that you can sit and eat. There are frozen dumplings in the refrigerator, go cook a few yourself, be good.”
Li Meng said angrily: “Do you want me to help Jiang Qin introduce a new boyfriend who can cook?”
Father and son looked at each other in the air, their gazes splashing crackling sparks in mid-air.
Twenty seconds later, Jin Yan admitted defeat: “…I’ll go fry eggs.”
When they first graduated from university and were struggling with nothing, Jin Yan chose instant noodles to sustain his life, while Jiang Qin resolutely stopped him and learned the eight major cuisines according to the recipes. Jin Yan had always been very complacent and never thought of repaying anything, until later a young master in the business circle who was proficient in food met Jiang Qin and used all his skills to pursue him, sending flowers and food three times a day, which gave Jin Yan a serious sense of crisis.
Jin Yan formulated two policies. The first was to carry out destructive strikes externally, and the second was to carry out comprehensive appeasement internally.
The specific steps of the first method will not be discussed for the time being. The second method was specifically refined into copying love poems to please, cooking and making soup and taking over housework, clumsily learning to play the piano and sing little yellow songs, and innovating gentle and considerate means in bed…
After being tossed from beginning to end, Jiang Qin expressed that this was simply a double torture from spirit to physiology. The only thing that could please him was that he didn’t have to cook from then on.
Jin Yan’s cooking skills improved rapidly during that time, and he could even handle sweet and sour fish—a very difficult southern dish.
After Li Meng grew up, Jin Yan had more and more things to do in the company. Jiang Qin couldn’t stand hiring a nanny or ordering takeout all day, so he often cooked by himself. Jin Yan was happy to eat the food cooked by his wife, so his cooking skills became more and more rusty. Only when * did he occasionally fry a heart-shaped steak or mix a cocktail, which looked good but was useless anyway.
Li Meng sat gloomily at the dining table and waited for half an hour before hearing a sizzle in the kitchen. Jin Yan walked out with two snow-white large plates. One plate contained lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and a heart-shaped sunny-side-up egg, and the other plate contained three layers of fat and lean fried bacon and toast. Although slightly burnt, the seasoning was good and it smelled very fragrant.
Li Meng stared at the chocolate heart pattern on the toast and said with disgust: “Are you planning to drink cross-cupped wine with Jiang Qin, Dad? Cross-cupped wine is drunk by the bride and groom before the bridal chamber, not before the groom is severely beaten.”
“…Go eat your food!”
Jin Yan took off his apron, changed into a crisp smoke-gray shirt, put on sterling silver cufflinks, sprinkled some cologne, and felt that he looked very handsome and manly before running to the bedroom complacently to wake Jiang Qin up.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he entered the door, he saw Jiang Qin sitting by the bed, rubbing his temples with a splitting headache. His entire upper body was wrapped in a snow-white bathrobe, his slender neck looked transparent in the morning light, and the hickeys and tooth marks were exceptionally clear.
“…” Jiang Qin raised his head, his beautiful eyes staring at Jin Yan unblinkingly.
“You begged me to bite.” Jin Yan said immediately: “You were crying too hard at that time, I didn’t have time to find my phone to record it as evidence.”
Jiang Qin: “…”
Jiang Qin beckoned, and Jin Yan walked over defenselessly. Before he could open his mouth to shirk responsibility, he was knocked to the ground by a punch in the face.
Although this punch was somewhat weak due to body aches, it was very skillful, hitting Jin Yan right in the nose causing a long stream of nosebleed. He felt like the bridge of his nose was about to break. This severe pain instantly stimulated all of Jin Yan’s evil fire. He immediately scrambled up and pointed at Jiang Qin, roaring: “I warn you—! You, you damn…”
Jiang Qin stared at him coldly.
“…You damn… if you don’t get up, breakfast will be eaten up by Li Xiaomeng!!”
Jiang Qin slammed the bathroom door shut, and soon the sound of the shower came.
Jin Yan covered his nose and panicked to find a cold towel. Amidst the frenzied laughter of little student Li Xiaomeng, he covered his head for a long time before finally stopping the nosebleed. He had thick skin and was resistant to beating since childhood, so a little blood was nothing. He immediately ran out in high spirits, planning to trouble Jiang Qin again.
Unexpectedly, only Li Meng was left in the dining room, picking his teeth with satisfaction. There was no one in the bathroom.
Jin Yan puffed air from his nose: “Where’s your mom?”
“Oh, he ran out in anger just now. I didn’t even have time to remind him to eat breakfast. Comrade Jin Yan, are you okay? Did Jiang Qin kick you with the ‘cutting off sons and grandsons’ kick?”
Jin Yan said angrily: “Where did you learn these messy things!”
Li Meng cackled like a little rooster with its neck stretched: “Ouch, it’s terrible, ouch, it hurts so much, ouch, can’t go out to find a mistress anymore…”
Jin Yan simply had a headache. This hooligan was overwhelmed by lust and anger, so he had a magnificent nosebleed again.
Jiang Qin didn’t realize until he reached the office that he was still wearing the gray t-shirt and sweatpants he casually put on after coming out of the bathroom, with two slippers on his bare feet. No wonder he felt something was wrong when stepping on the gas pedal on the way. At that time, he was only concerned with the strange soreness deep in his body and didn’t notice these things.
Jiang Qin pushed open the office door bracing himself. Colleagues along the way said good morning to him with weird expressions.
Big companies have this advantage: even if the gossip factor in the stomach has already turned the sky upside down, on the surface, they have to pretend to be cool and high-profile elites. Jiang Qin was like this before, but Jin Yan commented: “Pretentious disease! Just lie down obediently and let me fuck you once!”
“Vinson…?” The beauty Lisa in the next office poked her head out, paused for a few seconds with a complicated expression and said: “Hmm, you look very… casual today.”
Jiang Qin was in agony and said: “Morning.”
“Hmm, morning.” Lisa retracted her head for a few seconds and brought out a cup of coffee: “Just brewed, haven’t drunk it yet, want some?”
Jiang Qin politely declined this kindness, went to the pantry to make a mixed drink of coffee and strong tea, drank it all like medicine without adding milk or sugar cubes.
“There’s something on the back of your neck.”
Jiang Qin almost choked his homemade sobering agent out of his throat. Looking back, he only saw Lisa leaning against the door, her eyes faint.
“…What did you say?”
“There’s something on the back of your neck. Maybe it would be more appropriate for you to wear a stand-collar shirt today.”
Jiang Qin remembered the hickeys and tooth marks on the back of his neck, and his face froze instantly.
Lisa’s exquisitely made-up face showed a kind of sorrow rarely seen in normal times, completely inconsistent with her image of a shrewd and tough career woman: “It’s still time to go down and buy one now. There is a men’s clothing store downstairs… sigh.”
Jiang Qin thanked her and awkwardly sidestepped around her. Just as he was about to walk towards the elevator, he suddenly heard Lisa sigh again: “Vinson…”
“What?”
“I heard that people from the law firm downstairs recently helped you prepare a divorce property division agreement…” Lisa paused and said: “I didn’t mean to inquire.”
“So?”
“…No, no,” she said, “Sorry, nothing.”
Jiang Qin experienced an unprecedentedly awkward morning. At lunch, the news that “the mobile iceberg handsome guy on the 28th floor came to work with hickeys all over his body this morning” spread throughout the building like an electric current. The speed was so fast that when Jiang Qin came back from lunch and met the boss of the law firm downstairs in the elevator, the other party asked him enthusiastically: “I heard that a handsome guy in your company came to work without clothes?”
After returning to the office, Jiang Qin booked a hotel for tonight online.
However, when he got off work, as soon as he went out, he saw a familiar black Mercedes-Benz parked under the steps of the office building. Jin Yan’s arm with rolled-up cuffs rested on the car window. Whether it was the strong and lean muscles or the real gold and silver Vacheron Constantin on his wrist, it was showy enough to make pedestrians look back one after another.
At least Jiang Qin clearly heard two interns behind him discussing in a low voice: “Look, a big bundle of RMB is parked by the road.” “Why park the car in the reverse lane for no reason? Can’t see such a big no parking sign?” “Burning money, waiting for a ticket!”
Jiang Qin turned on his heel, covered his side face, and hurriedly walked to the street to hail a taxi.
Jin Yan didn’t need to look at all. He could smell the scent of his wife coming down the wind just by sniffing. However, just as he wanted to start the car to catch up with that taxi, he was stopped by a traffic policeman: “Illegal parking, take this ticket. Where is your driver’s license?”
Jin Yan: “…”
“What are you staring at? Looking at someone like you squatting at the door of someone’s company after work, you are not a good person. Yo, you look like you have evil intentions. What bad ideas are you making? No gasoline cans in the car, right? Get out of the car for inspection!”
Jin Yan rushed out of the car and ran wildly towards that taxi: “You damn come home with me! Deny it as soon as you get up!…”
Of course, Jiang Qin heard nothing. As soon as the car door closed, the taxi immediately sped away in the exhaust, choking Jin Yan with a face full of carbon monoxide for nothing.
