Chapter 11#

The Little Weakling Tames the Sinister Demon King (11)

Upon hearing this address, Mo Yan was slightly startled, his lips pressing together lightly. Before he could speak, he heard Ling Yan add cheerfully, “No, that’s not right. You’re not a little demon; you’re an old demon.”

A demon who had lived for a full one hundred thousand years.

“…”

Mo Yan abruptly fell silent, staring at Ling Yan in contemplation.

Was he being mocked for being old?

Indeed.

His little demon queen appeared to be no more than eighteen in bone age.

He paused for a moment, his heavy gaze settling on Ling Yan’s face, his Adam’s apple moving slightly. In the end, he only murmured in a low voice, “This king will have Yan Xi prepare hot water.”

With those words, he vanished in an instant.

Ling Xiaoqi couldn’t help but speak up: [Brother, are you teasing him?]

Ling Yan’s eyes curved upward, a playful smile flickering in them: [Yes, let him see clearly just how ‘delicate and petite’ the demon queen he married truly is.]

[…]

Brother is truly mischievous.

The bathing chamber in the side hall of the palace’s bedchamber was exceptionally spacious, the entire side hall dedicated solely to bathing. The central pool was built from massive black stones, so wide it could easily accommodate dozens of people bathing together and still have room to spare.

Ling Yan lazily shed his robes, tossing them aside casually, and stepped barefoot into the pool. The warm water gradually enveloped his ankles, his waist, and finally his entire body in a gentle embrace.

The hot water soaked into his skin, driving away the weariness from his body.

It felt so comfortable that he let out a soft sigh.

He leaned against the stone wall at the edge of the pool, his whole body relaxing like a cloud, and let out a languid moan.

“Mmm…”

Just then, Mo Yan’s deep voice came from beyond the folding screen.

“Is just taking a bath really that enjoyable?”

Ling Yan slowly opened his eyes and saw the tall, slender figure behind the screen. He swam forward a little, resting his arms on the stone wall and propping his chin on the back of his hand. His voice, carrying the moisture of the steam, drifted out with a hint of seductive laziness.

“Why not join me, Demon King? Try it for yourself… and see if it’s really that comfortable?”

In the system space, Ling Xiaoqi was speechless with shock.

Since Ling Yan was bathing, his visual interface had temporarily gone black, but the audio came through clearly.

Hearing his brother’s words just now, his voice even stuttered: [B-Brother… what do you mean by this? Even if this mission is really difficult, it shouldn’t come to the point of… sacrificing yourself, right?]

He knew that his brother had always kept his body and heart pure, never crossing any boundaries.

But Ling Yan only chuckled softly, his voice carrying a careless, watery undertone.

[Who said I was going to sacrifice myself?]

Ling Xiaoqi was practically jumping with anxiety: [You just invited him to bathe with you! Isn’t that enough?! Bathing together—he, he’ll see everything! What about your chastity?!]

[…]

Ling Yan was silent for a moment before slowly saying, [Why do you think I want to put him in my space and take him away?]

Ling Xiaoqi answered without hesitation: [Of course, as a pet! Like how you rode him flying through the sky today—just a pet, a mount, nothing more, right?]

[…]

Ling Yan fell silent again.

Then, several thick books suddenly appeared in front of Ling Xiaoqi. Ling Yan’s tone was calm but carried an air of finality: [Take these books and read them first. Learn well. Once you understand, then we can discuss this issue.]

[…]

Ling Xiaoqi looked down at his modern desk and hesitantly picked up the top book. At the bottom right corner of the cover, two simple yet impactful letters were printed.

BL.

Mo Yan walked out from behind the folding screen, his figure appearing even more upright amid the misty steam.

He walked over to Ling Yan and slowly crouched down, his golden eyes looking down from above, peering deeply into the other’s gaze.

“Are you inviting this king to bathe with you?”

Ling Yan looked up unflinchingly, water droplets sliding down his neck. His tea-colored eyes shimmered with unmistakable mirth: “Mm, want to join me?”

“Very well.”

Before the words had even settled, Mo Yan’s robes moved without wind, flew up, and neatly arranged themselves on the clothes rack nearby. Before Ling Yan could see what happened, the water beside him rippled gently, and Mo Yan had already stepped into the pool, sitting shoulder to shoulder with him.

Ling Yan: “…”

That really was astonishingly fast.

He hadn’t caught a single crucial image, and a faint trace of regret surfaced in his heart.

Ling Yan closed his eyes again, leaning lazily against the cold stone wall, letting the warm currents embrace him. The corner of his mouth lifted slightly, and he asked softly, “How does it feel, Demon King?”

Mo Yan turned his head, his gaze sweeping over the other’s cheeks, flushed by the steam, and said calmly,

“Not bad at all.”

Silence fell over the bath once more, broken only by the gentle ripples of the water and the occasional faint “splash” sound.

Mo Yan’s golden eyes fixed unwaveringly on Ling Yan, his gaze tracing each feature like a tangible line—the brows, the nose, and finally resting on two soft lips—

At the mountain stream, those lips had almost pressed against his.

He silently moved closer to Ling Yan, their arms lightly touching in the water. Mo Yan’s voice was low and husky, breaking the silence: “What exactly did you mean by ‘kiss’ back at the mountain stream?”

“…”

Ling Yan slowly opened his eyes, the corners of his eyes tilting upward, a playful glint swirling in his tea-colored pupils. He curled his lips slightly: “I almost forgot myself. Want to try it again?”

“Yes.”

Mo Yan answered without hesitation.

Ling Yan turned to face him, naturally looping his arms around the other’s neck, tilting his head back and whispering, “Close your eyes.”

Mo Yan obeyed and shut his eyes.

The next moment, Ling Yan’s lips gently pressed against his.

One warm, one cool—at the moment of contact, it was as if a tiny electric current shot through them.

Ling Yan carefully ventured in, his tongue deftly parting the other’s lips and teeth, deepening the kiss. Amid the enveloping steam, the subtle sounds of water and ambiguous whispers intertwined, filling the entire bath.

Meanwhile, in the system space, Ling Xiaoqi was burying his head in the books and didn’t notice that the audio from both sides had been quietly cut off.

Ling Yan suddenly felt something cool and supple coil around his waist—it had the unique coolness and slipperiness of scales. He instinctively opened his eyes and pulled back half a step.

Before him, Mo Yan had already shifted form—

A human upper body with a snake tail, an enormous dark serpentine tail swimming slowly in the bath, its tip coiling ambiguously around Ling Yan’s waist, tightening and relaxing tantalizingly.

The next second, a slender forked tongue gently extended, slowly licking across Ling Yan’s lips before sliding down to his chin.

Mo Yan’s low, husky voice sounded right by his ear, carrying a hint of satisfied amusement: “So this is what Yan Yan meant by ‘kiss’… Very nice. This king likes it.”

[Ding~ System auto notification: Mo Yan’s darkening value -20. Current darkening value: 72.]

Ling Yan: “…”

It was obvious.

He really did like it.

Mo Yan’s snake tail tightened silently, drawing the person closer.

The crimson forked tongue once again traced over the other’s pale cheek, and his voice was soft yet brooked no refusal: “Yan Yan… This king wants another kiss.”
