Chapter 69#

The Stench of Love#

“I missed you.”

Qin Mu truly possessed a flawlessly good voice. When he spoke, he lowered it and leaned close to the ear, making one tingle.

Jian Yunshen’s heart gave a heavy leap, and his fingertips unconsciously tightened.

Qin Mu smiled as he looked at him, the casual smirk on his lips slowly fading.

The hand draped over Jian Yunshen’s shoulder once again covered his eyes.

Qin Mu sighed slightly. Jian Yunshen didn’t realize how obvious the affection in his eyes was.

His dark, moist eyes held a shimmering pool of water, reflecting his face, the glistening water mixing with affection, turning brilliant.

He leaned close to Jian Yunshen’s ear again, softly saying with a hint of helplessness, “I told you, didn’t I? Don’t look at me with eyes like that.”

Jian Yunshen struggled a bit, pulling his hand down, but because of Qin Mu’s words, he no longer dared to look at him.

He didn’t retort, merely stood silently beside Qin Mu, looking at Jiang Yunhan, who was still nearby.

Jiang Yunhan: “……”

He was at a loss for words.

What was with this stench of love?

Seeing Jian Yunshen’s deeply infatuated expression, he knew all his earlier words had been in vain.

Jiang Yunhan glanced at Qin Mu, a slight frown creasing his brow.

He exchanged a glance with Qin Mu, then left ahead of them.

After Jiang Yunhan left, Jian Yunshen visibly relaxed. He lowered his gaze, clutching the hem of Qin Mu’s clothes, and gently swayed it.

It was already after work hours. People came and went outside in the corridor; voices and footsteps accompanied Jian Yunshen’s soft sentence:

“I missed you too.”

All entered Qin Mu’s ears.

This time, Qin Mu didn’t see Jian Yunshen’s alluring eyes.

But he was still captivated.

Just then, someone suddenly entered the restroom.

The person only had time to see a cubicle door forcefully close.

He didn’t suspect anything and proceeded with his business.

Inside the restroom cubicle, Qin Mu was pressing against Jian Yunshen, looking at him with deep eyes.

Jian Yunshen looked up at him in confusion, mouthing a question:

“Wh-what’s wrong?”

Qin Mu didn’t answer; his head lowered.

Jian Yunshen’s long lashes trembled, and he slightly lifted his chin.

Some people shouldn’t be indulged.

The idiom “getting an inch and wanting a mile” was practically tailor-made for Qin Mu.

He watched Jian Yunshen’s cooperative posture and compliant attitude, his eyes growing deeper.

The next second, his lips were kissed.

Jian Yunshen dazedly parted his teeth, his tongue tip sucked numb and sore. His head continuously tried to pull away from the deep kiss but was held firmly by Qin Mu, leaving him only able to passively endure.

The sound of water echoed. Footsteps and conversations from beyond the door were so clear. Jian Yunshen’s heart thumped wildly with nervousness, yet he couldn’t truly bear to refuse Qin Mu, only whimpering softly and subtly struggling.

Qin Mu slightly parted his lips, a husky, low laugh escaping his throat.

He leaned closer to Jian Yunshen’s ear, teasing his earlobe.

The full, fair earlobe quickly became glazed with moisture, revealing a carnelian-like redness.

“Mm… Hmph……”

Warm breath sprayed into his ear, and Jian Yunshen’s whole body went numb. He reached out to hook Qin Mu’s neck, tilting his head to try and escape, but only made it easier for Qin Mu.

Qin Mu rubbed his lower back, whispering in his ear:

“Jian Yunshen. Don’t tempt me.”

As if in retaliation, Qin Mu suddenly bit his ear tip. His ear was enveloped in the warm cavern of Qin Mu’s mouth, and a soft tongue tip heavily brushed against it. Jian Yunshen’s eyes instantly welled up with moisture; his whole body trembled, a faint moan escaping him, and he hastily raised a hand to tightly cover his mouth.

He couldn’t even refute Qin Mu’s words, only tightly covering his mouth to prevent those strange sounds from escaping.

Qin Mu’s hand, however, became increasingly audacious, exploring more and more places. Jian Yunshen’s body grew weak, his breathing chaotic and hurried, his eyes rimmed with a deep red from arousal. As if unable to bear it any longer, he looked up, leaned in, and kissed Qin Mu’s lips.

Blocking the broken moans that were about to escape.

The person outside had left sometime unnoticed.

Jian Yunshen’s taut body unconsciously relaxed, growing soft. The sound of water dripping from the faucet mingled with faint gasps, slowly spreading.

Everyone in the company had already left. In the open office, only Jian Yunshen and Qin Mu remained.

The reason they hadn’t left was because.

Jian Yunshen needed to revise a proposal.

Just as he clicked open the proposal.

The long-silent system suddenly popped up:

[Detected that host has entered the villain’s proposal replacement plot. Please make a choice within five seconds:]

[A. Stop him.]

[B. Expose him.]

[C. Refuse him.]

Qin Mu listened to the voice in his mind and began recalling the relevant plot from the original novel.

In the original plot, Jian Yunshen and Jiang Yunhan entered the company together, competing for the same project. The villain lost in the first meeting and harbored resentment. In the second meeting, he deliberately switched Jiang Yunhan’s proposal, causing him to lose.

Now, due to Qin Mu’s intervention, the plot had advanced, but it had still inevitably set foot on the path of the original storyline.

Meanwhile, Jian Yunshen looked at his proposal with some discouragement, his shoulders slumped, and his always-straight back slightly bent.

As the cold electronic voice’s countdown began in Qin Mu’s mind.

Jian Yunshen looked up at him, his downturned eye corners showing a heartbreaking vulnerability.

The suspicious redness and swelling on his lips hadn’t completely faded, and the teeth marks on his ear tip were clearly visible under the white light.

He heard Jian Yunshen soften his tone towards him, gently coaxing:

“Qin Mu… could you help me out a bit… okay?”

3!

2!

1!

When the countdown ended, Qin Mu looked at him and replied, “Okay.”

77: “……”

[Time’s up, Host. You did not make a choice, defaulting to A.]

Qin Mu ignored it.

He watched Jian Yunshen’s eyes instantly light up, then stood up, patted the stool, and looked at him expectantly.

Qin Mu smiled and sat down, his mouse beginning to scroll through the proposal on the computer.

There were no problems with the data, and the background checks were done very thoroughly. It was clear that it was a very serious submission.

But the mistake was that it was too serious.

For a project, whether it’s data, materials, or funding, nothing should be stated too rigidly, nor should dates be set too absolutely.

For the old foxes in the company, such things were common knowledge, an unwritten rule, but no one would specifically tell him.

It wasn’t specifically targeting Jian Yunshen; it was just that if it were stated, it would make one seem to have capability issues, as if needing more buffer time.

If it wasn’t said, it meant Jian Yunshen wouldn’t change it, and then in their minds, this project was already the discarded option.

Qin Mu took a quick look, roughly understood the problem, and the smile on his lips widened slightly as he gently looked at Jian Yunshen.

Jian Yunshen was slightly leaning over, looking at the computer screen. When the mouse suddenly stopped moving, he tilted his head in confusion to look over.

Qin Mu had a slightly teasing smile on his lips, and said meaningfully, “Asking someone for a favor, shouldn’t there be some perks?”
