Chapter 22#

Still enjoying the touch?#

This remark was ambiguous, but Jian Yunshen instantly understood Qin Mu’s meaning.

He remembered their first meeting.

Qin Mu went crazy the moment he showed up, choking him almost to death, then taking him back to his home after he fainted.

It was an extremely chaotic night, and that jacket that had been taken away was still hanging in Jian Yunshen’s dorm room.

Jian Yunshen narrowed his eyes slightly and glared at him: “Then you can walk back yourself.”

Qin Mu wasn’t fully drunk, but he felt a bit lazy. He hooked his arm over Jian Yunshen’s shoulder, his eyes curving into a smile: “What if I’m too handsome and get abducted halfway? The thank-you gift has to be of this level.”

Jian Yunshen was speechless. Qin Mu talked even more when drunk than when sober, and everything he said seemed to be about settling old scores with him.

He simply fell silent, adjusted his mask, supported Qin Mu’s waist, and led him out.

By the time Qin Qiaosen came down from the stage, the two were nowhere to be seen in the booth.

Qin Mu had driven there, and the designated driver was honestly waiting in the driver’s seat. Seeing the two head towards the car, he got out wanting to help.

Before his fingertips could even touch, Qin Mu, who was leaning against Jian Yunshen’s shoulder with his head down, turned his head and gave him a cold look.

The honest designated driver’s hand instantly froze in mid-air. These rich people always had some strange quirks like cleanliness fetishes, and he didn’t want to try reasoning with a drunk.

Jian Yunshen didn’t notice the small interaction between them. After helping Qin Mu into the passenger seat, he straightened up and said to the driver: “You can go now, I’ll take him back.”

The driver stood still.

Jian Yunshen felt for Qin Mu’s bag in his pocket, pulled out a few red banknotes from it, and without counting, handed them over: “This is your pay for tonight.”

Qin Mu lazily lifted his eyelids, swept a glance at him, a smile lingering at the corner of his mouth, and said nothing.

Seeing that Qin Mu didn’t object, the driver took the money, whispered a thank you, and left.

This was Qin Mu’s first time seeing Jian Yunshen drive.

Qin Mu had also been through this age. Most boys at this age liked to seek thrills, driving as if they had a death wish, testing the boundaries of legality.

Jian Yunshen was different; his driving was steady and proper, mostly maintaining a consistent speed, with very little swaying of the car.

He also drove very focused, both hands on the steering wheel, his gaze fixed straight ahead, rarely even blinking.

Qin Mu rolled down the window a bit, and the passing wind seeped in, sobering him up slightly from his initial buzz.

He suddenly asked: “Did you spray perfume?”

Jian Yunshen finally bothered to look at him, giving him a strange glance: “No.”

“Then why do you smell so good?”

“……”

Jian Yunshen didn’t really want to deal with the drunk’s harassment, but he worried it would be endless, so he suppressed his impatience and said: “Laundry detergent bought on sale at the supermarket. Who knew it would be this fragrant?”

Qin Mu’s eyes shimmered slightly. Leaning against the headrest, he tilted his head and quietly watched him. He let out a low chuckle, his deep, slightly hoarse laughter echoing in the small space of the car.

That sound, for some reason, made the atmosphere much more intimate.

The last time, Jian Yunshen had held Qin Mu in this very car, refusing to let go.

He didn’t know if Qin Mu’s chuckle was teasing, but Jian Yunshen’s ear tips certainly flushed a little.

After successfully driving downstairs, Qin Mu obediently closed his eyes and leaned against the backrest, his long, dense eyelashes casting a shallow shadow beneath his eyes.

His light, thin lips were tightly closed, shimmering with a faint layer of moisture.

Jian Yunshen had known for a long time that Qin Mu was handsome.

He had an extremely striking appearance—sharp, defined features, delicate, fair skin. From any angle, he looked like a pampered young master, a bewitching fox spirit who could ensnare people with just a glance.

He suspected that Qin Mu had been constantly trying to tempt him during this time.

Bravery born of spite, he unbuckled his seatbelt, moved closer, and whispered into Qin Mu’s ear: “Qin Mu… Qin Mu…”

Qin Mu’s eyelids trembled slightly, but he didn’t open his eyes.

Jian Yunshen’s heart rate slowly quickened. He extended his index finger and gently poked Qin Mu’s cheek.

His fingertip was enveloped by soft, smooth skin, and the cheek indented into a small dimple.

The wondrous sensation made Jian Yunshen’s eyes widen slightly. Seeing no reaction from Qin Mu, he grew a little bolder, his index finger sliding down from the jawline to the Cupid’s bow, just about to poke again.

Qin Mu suddenly reached out and grabbed him.

Jian Yunshen was startled, his whole body trembling, his eyes widened even more, and his breathing became a bit hurried. The upper half of his face, not covered by the mask, visibly reddened at a noticeable pace.

In this state, anyone who didn’t know would think Qin Mu had molested him.

Qin Mu’s eyes were full of playfulness, his voice lazy and languid: “Are you satisfied with the touching?”

Jian Yunshen hadn’t yet fully recovered, but his mouth had already subconsciously replied: “Just so-so.”

Qin Mu rubbed the back of his hand, and upon hearing the reply, couldn’t help but chuckle: “Just ‘so-so,’ yet you were touching so enthusiastically?”

“Who was enthusiastic?”

Jian Yunshen glared at him.

Even if the sky fell, Jian Yunshen’s mouth would hold it up.

The smile on Qin Mu’s lips deepened a bit. He reached out and hooked the mask hanging on Jian Yunshen’s face.

The string could no longer hang onto his ear, and it fluttered down.

Jian Yunshen’s eyes flickered, and he uncomfortably pursed his lips, but he didn’t dodge. He still maintained the posture of half-leaning over Qin Mu, his gaze shifting, and the air became somewhat ambiguous.

Qin Mu chuckled: “Isn’t this quite good-looking? Why do you always wear a mask?”

The shimmer in Jian Yunshen’s eyes instantly vanished completely, and his face also became extremely unsightly. He pulled the mask back, put it on again, and sat back in his original seat.

When he spoke, even his tone was much colder: “That’s my business, no need for Young Master Qin to worry about it. We’ve arrived, let’s go upstairs.”

Qin Mu shrugged. He was already used to Jian Yunshen suddenly turning cold. Last time, it was him who clung to Qin Mu in the car, refusing to let go and wanting a hug, and it was also him who, a moment later, pursed his lips, pushed Qin Mu away, opened the car door, and left without looking back.

It was as if he had been bullied by someone.

“How will you get back to school?”

Qin Mu pushed open the car door, got out, then turned and bent down to look at him. Qin Mu’s eyes were full of smiles; he had successfully resolved many matters these past few days, and thinking that his new company would soon be able to officially compete with Qin Enterprises, he happily licked his lips.

Jian Yunshen’s movements paused. He turned his head to look at him, a mocking arc at the corner of his mouth, which was unfortunately blocked by the mask: “What, do you still want to invite me upstairs?”

Qin Mu straightened up, looked at his wristwatch. The evening breeze was already carrying a touch of coolness, his jacket rustling. Qin Mu gently tapped the watch face with his fingertip: “Fine, come upstairs with me, I’ll find someone to take you to school tomorrow morning.”

After speaking, he turned, closed the door, yawned, and slowly walked forward.

After walking several steps and not seeing anyone follow, Qin Mu turned to look at Jian Yunshen, who was still in the driver’s seat, and raised an eyebrow: “Do I still need to carry you down?”

“……”

The hand gripping the steering wheel tightened.
