Chapter 140#

Little Crybaby#

“Qin Mu, you are truly loving me.”

Qin Mu rubbed his hair, the curve of his lips hiding a doting affection he hadn’t even realized himself.

Following his words, he teased, “Indeed I am, my little crybaby.”

Hearing the playful teasing from above, Jian Yunchen’s ear-tips turned red. He buried himself in Qin Mu’s chest and muttered a soft protest, “I’m not… I’m not that big of a crybaby…”

The past, where he had to swallow his pain and broken teeth, had forged Jian Yunchen’s resilient heart and unyielding spirit. The sharp thorns grown in such a terrible environment were shed for the first time after Qin Mu drew near, revealing the soft core within.

For the first time having someone to rely on, someone to lean on, Jian Yunchen slowly became the “crybaby” in Qin Mu’s mouth.

Qin Mu gently cupped his cheeks, lifting his face to meet his gaze. His dark, moist eyes were like beautiful glass beads, silently reflecting only Qin Mu’s image. Every time Qin Mu saw his own reflection in Jian Yunchen’s focused eyes, his heart would instantly become very, very soft.

A rough fingertip brushed across the thin corners of his eyes, leaving an inconspicuous mark. With a slight curl of his lips, Qin Mu placed a dry, hot kiss on his eyelid, a fleeting touch. Jian Yunchen’s eyelashes trembled, and his eyes gazed back at him, veiled in a thin mist.

The curve of Qin Mu’s lips deepened. He looked with satisfaction at the way Jian Yunchen gazed at him, a content smile rising in his dark eyes. He whispered softly, “It doesn’t matter if you’re a crybaby, as long as you are mine.”

Jian Yunchen held his hand, gently rubbing against it. Despite his submissive posture, his gaze unabashedly revealed a frantic possessiveness: “I am yours, but you must also be mine. Everything of yours is mine; I want to know all of you.”

Qin Mu smiled at him without a hint of objection, indulging and permitting Jian Yunchen’s attempt to possess his everything. He coaxed softly, “What do you want to know?”

Jian Yunchen was stumped. He tilted his head and frowned slightly. Seeing the fragmented laughter rising in those beautiful peach-blossom eyes, his heartbeat grew erratic. Qin Mu’s hand slid past his ear, his gaze following the movement of his fingertips as they slipped under the covers, lightly tracing the lines of his spine before finally coming to rest on a certain soft part, gripping it firmly.

He leaned in close, looking down at the youthful body beneath him that trembled slightly at his touch.

Qin Mu whispered in his ear, his voice tinged with a certain color: “What do you want to know? Hmm?”

“Ugh… ngh…” The warm breath falling on the sensitive area behind his ear quickly made Jian Yunchen’s body go limp, and he couldn’t help but let out a soft moan.

A body that had been abstinent for half a month was easily provoked into a reaction with the slightest teasing, let alone after such a lingering confession of feelings. Jian Yunchen was so enticed that he threw all the questions he wanted to ask to the back of his mind. The mist in his eyes deepened. His fingertips trembled as he lightly pushed against Qin Mu’s chest, whispering, “It’s not even dark yet…”

Qin Mu took a deep breath while buried in Jian Yunchen’s embrace. His burning palms lingered on his waist and thighs, lighting fires everywhere. He gripped Jian Yunchen’s waist tightly, pressing close as his voice took on a layer of sexy huskiness: “If you go pull the curtains, won’t it be night?”

Jian Yunchen tilted his head back, his breathing becoming increasingly chaotic. He didn’t know where he had been touched, but a soft, seductive moan escaped his throat. Jian Yunchen’s whole body stiffened, and his cheeks rapidly flushed hot.

Qin Mu, however, became even more excited. His powerful hands wrapped tightly around him. He moved forward and lightly bit Jian Yunchen’s chin, whispering, “Cry out for me, okay? I like listening to it…”

Jian Yunchen covered his face, his fingertips trembling as he gave a less-than-firm refusal: “No… I can’t…”

Qin Mu’s gaze paused. Through the palm of his hand, he placed a kiss where his lips were. The faint sound of fingertips sliding over fabric echoed in his ears. Jian Yunchen’s body gradually began to burn. Qin Mu asked in a breathy voice in his ear, “Why can’t you? Don’t you want it too?”

“Ngh…” Jian Yunchen let out a soft hum and covered Qin Mu’s mouth with a trembling hand. He revealed his watery eyes and caught Qin Mu’s restless wrist. After hesitating for a long while, he whispered, “Didn’t you… injure your waist? You haven’t fully recovered yet. The doctor said you shouldn’t right now…”

Qin Mu didn’t allow anyone to question him, especially not about this.

He pulled Jian Yunchen’s hand away, just about to prove that he not only could, but could do it very well—

But Jian Yunchen took advantage of his distraction to slip away from him and scrambled off the bed. Ignoring his messy collar and flushed cheeks, he fled as if escaping.

Qin Mu propped himself up, looking darkly at the slowly closing door, and let out a soft “tch.”

Night fell quietly. Devoid of the daytime bustle, everything became still.

Qin Mu was sitting at the head of the bed scrolling through his phone. The light fell on his sharp features, casting a layer of interlaced shadows. He frowned slightly, looking seriously at various intelligence reports regarding the company sent by Ji Weiyi. As he was thinking, his fingertips had just typed out a string of words to reply when the room suddenly went dark.

Qin Mu’s fingertips paused, and he looked up.

No light could be seen in the dim room, but at that moment, the crisp sound of bells ringing several times was heard.

Qin Mu arched an eyebrow and turned off his phone screen. The last trace of light vanished from the room.

The faint sound of bells paused for a moment, then began to ring from a distance, getting closer and closer to him.

A blurred shadow appeared before Qin Mu’s eyes. The bedding beside him dipped slightly, and a weight suddenly appeared on his body. Qin Mu firmly grasped the person in his arms.

He mischievously tightened his grip.

“Mmh-ngh…”

Jian Yunchen let out a muffled groan. The bell hanging from his ankle rang crisply, and the smile on Qin Mu’s lips deepened.

Without the obstruction of clothing on his cool thighs, the smooth and delicate skin made it hard for Qin Mu to let go. He leaned in close to Jian Yunchen’s ear and whispered with a light laugh, “So proactive…?”

In the darkness, Jian Yunchen’s cheeks quickly turned red. He leaned against Qin Mu’s shoulder, reluctant to push him away, and answered the previous question seriously: “I went to ask the doctor…”

Qin Mu waited quietly.

“He said… you are able…”

Qin Mu’s teeth itched with annoyance; he ran to ask an outsider about this kind of thing instead of believing him.

He let out a cold snort, his burning chest pressing close. The next moment, his hand tightened around his ankle.

Jian Yunchen was forced upward. After a bout of dizziness, before his consciousness could return, he heard Qin Mu’s voice fall beside his ear:

“I’ll let you know today exactly whether I’m able or not.”

The crisp sound of bells rang continuously.

Ji Weiyi stared blankly at his phone, looking at the one and only message sent by “President Shan” before there was no further follow-up.

He frowned in confusion and sent an inquiry text back.

The phone screen lit up and then went dark. Jian Yunchen, who was being tossed back and forth by Qin Mu, had glazed eyes but noticed the constantly lighting phone.

He pushed away the nearing Qin Mu and said with a sob, “Your phone… is ringing, you go… handle it first…”

The unfinished words were swallowed by Qin Mu’s mouth.

The sound of bells, accompanied by suppressed weeping and chaotic panting, drowned out the constant notification pings of the phone.
