Chapter 45#

Take Out That Gentleman (8)#

When Yu Ci arrived, Sang Xinghe was sitting by the bed.

He had been drugged again that night, but having gone through this once before, the second time was much easier.

Sang Xinghe looked at the bound man on the bed, sighed, and reached out to untie the soft silk restraints. But before doing so, he spoke a sentence to Shen Jue.

“I’ll untie you. Be good and don’t make a fuss, alright?”

Seeing the other nod, he began to undo the silk.

The moment it was undone, Sang Xinghe tilted his head to the side and grabbed Shen Jue’s attacking hand.

He knew Shen Jue would hit him.

Sang Xinghe’s expression didn’t change, except for a hint of helplessness. “If you want to fight me, that’s fine, but aren’t you afraid of being punished?”

At these words, Shen Jue’s hand involuntarily lost half its strength.

Last time, Yu Ci had nearly crippled his hand for smashing Sang Xinghe’s head.

Sang Xinghe rubbed his brow with his free hand. “I know you’re unwilling, but there’s no other way right now. I…” The rest was hard to say. Sang Xinghe, who prided himself on being honorable, never imagined he would one day utter such words. “I’ll try to be gentle tonight.”

He was like a libertine coaxing an innocent maiden.

Shen Jue stared at Sang Xinghe for a long moment, then slowly pulled his hand back. He sat with his knees drawn up, head turned away in a defensive posture. Sang Xinghe looked at him, feeling awkward. He shifted closer to Shen Jue, raised a hand to embrace him, but then thought better of it.

His hand hovered in midair, uncertain.

After several deep breaths, as the drug’s effects grew stronger, Sang Xinghe finally grasped Shen Jue’s shoulder. But the moment he did, Shen Jue flinched away, as if extremely repulsed by his touch.

When Sang Xinghe tried to approach, Shen Jue resisted. By the time Sang Xinghe finally pinned the man beneath him, a corner of the bed canopy had been torn down. He glanced at the gauze draped over them both and shook his head at this absurd scene.

The man beneath him was still struggling like a wild beast, trying to wriggle out from under him.

If Sang Xinghe hadn’t had some internal energy, he might not have been able to hold him down.

The left protector, fearing Shen Jue couldn’t endure it, hadn’t fed him the muscle-relaxing powder this time.

After all, last time had been quite frightening.

Sang Xinghe lowered his head, pressing both of Shen Jue’s hands above his head with one hand. His eyes were clear, his tone gentle. If Shen Jue hadn’t heard the words with his own ears, he might have still believed Sang Xinghe was the honorable gentleman of old.

“Don’t move. I can still barely suppress the drug’s effects for now. If I lose control and you keep struggling, I’m afraid I’ll hurt you.” Sang Xinghe paused, then let out a rather lewd remark: “You smell wonderful.”

This was due to the Heavenly Luo Body’s constitution.

When a Heavenly Luo Body encountered the one who would take their virginity, their body would involuntarily emit a faint fragrance. This fragrance would grow sweeter and more cloying with time, as if seeping into one’s very bones. This was why many couldn’t let go of their Heavenly Luo Body.

When Sang Xinghe caught sight of the vermilion mole on Shen Jue’s earlobe, he couldn’t help but purse his lips.

Last time he had seen the other, Shen Jue only had one such mole on one ear. Now both ears had them, meaning Shen Jue had already been deflowered.

This was his Heavenly Luo Body.

Even Sang Xinghe couldn’t help thinking this in his heart.

Half due to the drug, half due to an unspoken confession deep within him, Sang Xinghe lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss on Shen Jue’s earlobe. Shen Jue, startled by the sudden kiss, trembled slightly. The next moment, his fair ear turned completely red.

Shen Jue was actually very angry now. He was furious that this Sang Xinghe, like the Murong Xiu from the previous realm, liked to kiss his ears. He hated this deeply, as his ears were the most sensitive part of his body.

Seeing that Sang Xinghe wanted to kiss his other ear as well, Shen Jue struggled violently.

It was a moment of distraction for Sang Xinghe that allowed Shen Jue to shove him off the bed. And this scene of him being pushed off was witnessed by Yu Ci, who had just walked in.

Yu Ci’s pupils contracted, and he immediately struck at Shen Jue on the bed.

Yu Ci’s martial arts were no match for Shen Jue. Shen Jue only had time to roll aside. Fortunately, Sang Xinghe reacted quickly and threw himself in front of Shen Jue.

“Yu Ci, what are you doing?” Sang Xinghe glared coldly at Yu Ci.

Upon seeing Sang Xinghe, Yu Ci had no choice but to retract his attack, his expression far worse than Sang Xinghe’s. “He’s disobedient. I’m disciplining him. What’s wrong with that?” He let out a harsh laugh. “Could it be that our self-proclaimed righteous hero Sang has fallen for a Heavenly Luo Body? I recall that you once despised Heavenly Luo Bodies the most.”

This was Yu Ci deliberately stepping on Sang Xinghe’s sore spot.

Sang Xinghe frowned slightly but still shielded Shen Jue behind him. “Island Lord Yu, I simply fell off the bed just now by accident. It had nothing to do with him. It’s getting late. Please leave.”

Leave?

Let them continue doing that sort of thing?

Yu Ci was so angry he wanted to strike Sang Xinghe directly, but he cared greatly about his pride. He was the one who had given Sang Xinghe the Heavenly Luo Body in the first place; he couldn’t show jealousy and lose face. So he had to endure.

But Yu Ci, this demon lord, was not normal. Unable to bear imagining how intimate Sang Xinghe and Shen Jue would be after he left, he decided to stay. He wanted to see just how sweet they could be, how skilled Sang Xinghe was in bed, and how seductive that Heavenly Luo Body could be.

Upon hearing Yu Ci’s intention to stay and watch, Sang Xinghe’s face stiffened, and he blurted out, “Are you crazy?”

Yu Ci used his inner energy to pull over a high-backed chair and sat down leisurely. “Yes, I’m crazy. So what? You can choose not to do it, if you can bear it.” He sneered, scanning Sang Xinghe’s lower body.

Sang Xinghe was so furious he was momentarily speechless. This Yu Ci was a complete madman. Why had he ever gotten involved with such a lunatic?

Seeing Sang Xinghe frozen, Yu Ci gave another mocking smile. He wasn’t in a hurry. He’d wait and see how long Sang Xinghe could hold out.

The two remained locked in a stalemate. Meanwhile, Shen Jue on the bed curled up in the corner, disgustedly wiping his kissed ear. Yu Ci the mad demon lord, Sang Xinghe the hypocritical gentleman—they were supposed to be a perfect match. But why did he have to be caught in the middle? Shen Jue lowered his head, tugging at the bedclothes. The anger he had felt had already calmed considerably.

He felt his cultivation was still insufficient. He had thought that no matter what he experienced, he would no longer get angry. But he couldn’t.

Even after countless times, facing it again still made him angry, furious, and wanting to kill.

In previous lives, Yu Ci had made such excessive demands before. Sang Xinghe had touched Shen Jue in front of Yu Ci, but after he finished, Yu Ci had nearly killed Shen Jue. Sang Xinghe had then stood by the bed in his robe, watching Yu Ci coldly, his eyes full of mockery.

It was only because Yu Ci saw the mockery in Sang Xinghe’s eyes that he spared Shen Jue.

Just as Shen Jue was recalling memories from past lives, he suddenly felt someone climb onto the bed. He looked up and saw Sang Xinghe’s face.

To be fair, Sang Xinghe’s face was indeed handsome. Otherwise, Yu Ci wouldn’t have fallen for him at first sight. Even with a grim expression, Sang Xinghe was still strikingly handsome.

Looking at Shen Jue huddled in the corner, Sang Xinghe pressed his lips into a thin line. After a long moment, he reached out and dragged the man over.

Yu Ci listened to the sounds coming from the bed, watching the faint scenes through the bed canopy, and had already crushed half the armrest of his chair. Wood splinters pierced his palm, but he paid them no mind.

His eyes turned bloodshot, and he desperately wanted to kill the two before him immediately.

No, he couldn’t do that.

Yu Ci gritted his teeth, took a deep breath, and forced himself to watch. He wanted to see just how long they could last.

Time passed slowly. Compared to the limp Shen Jue, Sang Xinghe was clearly in better shape, even his eyes remained clear. He looked at Shen Jue’s blue eyes, now moist like a lake behind the mask, and frowned almost imperceptibly. He could feel Yu Ci’s gaze piercing into him, and all he could do was try to shield the man beneath him as much as possible.

Once the drug’s effects subsided, Sang Xinghe immediately pulled the blanket over to cover Shen Jue’s body. He got out of bed completely naked, unconcerned about being seen by Yu Ci. He even leisurely picked up a relatively clean garment from the floor and draped it over himself.

After putting on the clothes, he saw Yu Ci approaching.

Without even glancing at Sang Xinghe, Yu Ci tore down the bed canopy and aimed a palm strike at Shen Jue.

But before he could land it, he heard a soft snicker.

Sang Xinghe’s eyes held mockery as he sneered at Yu Ci. Having just gone through that act, there was still a lingering, unshakable tenderness in his brows and eyes.

“Go ahead, Island Lord Yu. Your island has plenty of Heavenly Luo Bodies, right?” Sang Xinghe’s words dripped with sarcasm.

Yu Ci’s body stiffened, then he slowly withdrew his hand. He turned to face Sang Xinghe, his expression blank at first, then he began to clap. “Brilliant, truly brilliant. Hero Sang is indeed the best in the jianghu. Seeing it in person, I must say you live up to your reputation.”

Sang Xinghe’s gaze turned icy. “I’ve also heard that some people in the jianghu have a peculiar fetish for voyeurism. Now I’ve seen it firsthand.”

The two exchanged verbal barbs, neither yielding until the movement on the bed finally made them stop.

Yu Ci looked at Shen Jue, who had climbed out of bed, with displeasure. “What are you doing down here?”

Shen Jue shrank back at the question. Using the blanket to cover himself, he bent down to pick up his clothes from the floor. Yu Ci snorted coldly and stepped on the clothes Shen Jue was reaching for. “What do you need clothes for? It’s fine to just go out like this.”

Shen Jue seemed frightened by Yu Ci’s words and hid behind Sang Xinghe.

This familiar action directly enraged Yu Ci.

Last time, Shen Jue had hidden behind the left protector; now he was hiding behind Sang Xinghe again.

Yu Ci was about to grab him, but Sang Xinghe calmly extended his hand to block him.

“Island Lord Yu, haven’t you gone mad enough?”

“Mad? I think you’re the one who’s gone mad, Hero Sang. After just a few rounds in bed, you’re already feeling sorry for him? Ah, I recall someone once said they’d kill anyone who used their looks to seduce. Has Hero Sang changed his mind now?” Yu Ci said coldly.

Sang Xinghe had had enough of the sarcasm. He was now at the point of throwing caution to the wind. “That’s right, I have changed my mind. If Island Lord Yu wants to be on the receiving end, I wouldn’t mind showing you some pity as well.”

“You!” Yu Ci hadn’t expected Sang Xinghe to say such a thing. Furious and momentarily at a loss for words, he turned and shattered the high-backed chair he had been sitting on with a single palm strike. When he turned back, his expression had returned to normal. “Sang Xinghe, sooner or later you’ll come begging me to take you. I’ll wait.”

With that, he flicked his sleeves and left.

After Yu Ci was gone, Sang Xinghe finally showed signs of exhaustion.

But just as he relaxed, a palm struck his back.

Caught off guard, Sang Xinghe fell to the ground. Before he could get up, he saw the man who had just been cowering behind him rush over to grab a broken chair leg. When Sang Xinghe saw Shen Jue approaching with the stick, he was taken aback.

“You…”

Before he could finish, a blow landed on his face.

Sang Xinghe winced in pain, covering his nose as more blows rained down on his head and face. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he managed to hold the man in his arms. Tossing the stick aside, he said irritably, “You’re so ungrateful. I just protected you, and now you’re trying to kill me?”

Feeling the man in his arms still struggling fiercely like a tantrum-throwing child, Sang Xinghe couldn’t help but spank him twice on the rear. “Stop it. If you want to hit me, wait until Yu Ci has completely left, okay? He’s still in the courtyard. If he hears the commotion and comes back, what will we do?”

As he finished speaking, his arm was bitten hard.

Sang Xinghe looked down at Shen Jue, who was biting his arm, and sighed helplessly. He pulled the blanket up around Shen Jue to keep him warm against the cold of Yishui Pavilion.

He had thought he had encountered a dodder flower, but he was wrong.

This biting ferocity—not a dodder flower, but rather a carnivorous plant.
